We regret to announce the recent passing of Niall Thunder, Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9. Niall played for Home Farm FC in the early 1950's. His main connection with the club was through his father, Paddy Thunder, the first ever Hon. Secretary of Home Farm FC, and in whose memory, the club presented the Thunder Cup to the D.D.S.L. in around the year 1940, which is now the oldest trophy in competition at under 14 level in the league.
Niall was an outstanding Rugby Player for Old Belvedere Rugby Club. He was a team mate of the world famous Irish and British Lions International rugby star, Tony O'Reilly who also played with Niall at Home Farm Schoolboy Soccer Level.
